SPONSOR THE SYMPOSIUM

We are proud to be planning the second annual Frontiers in Ornithology: A Symposium for Youth— an unprecedented symposium held for young people with an interest in ornithology and related fields of study.

The primary mission of this event is to focus on ornithology and conservation science. The symposium does not focus on birding, bird identification techniques, or listing birds, but instead on cutting edge technologies being used in avian research and study, careers in ornithology, and how to pursue that focus in either higher education or vocationally. The symposium also provides opportunities toward understanding and promoting involvement in conservation science initiatives.

While the symposium specifically targets youth and organizations based in the mid-Atlantic region, there are no geographical boundaries for those wishing to attend or support this symposium. Participants from our inaugural event were from Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia, and New Jersey.

We are in the planning stages for the second Frontiers in Ornithology Symposium. The exact location is not set, but we will likely be holding the Symposium in the Southwest U.S. and hope to attract an international audience of attendees and speakers.

We are excited to be extending an invitation to you to share in this event as a supporter! We ask that you consider the following sponsorship opportunities:

Another consideration to consider is sponsoring one or more youth to attend at the nominal fee per participant.

Collaboration from many organizations is a vital part of this event in order to support aspiring young people and also provides an opportunity to connect many organizations together.

We thank you and look forward to our partnership!
